Africa Instore Solutions (AIS) is a Kenyan-registered social enterprise, working at the intersection of climate-smart food systems and renewable energy solutions to strengthen rural livelihoods and community resilience across Africa. We support smallholder farmers, women, and youth to transition toward climate-smart agriculture by integrating clean energy access, productive use of solar technologies, financial literacy, and digital inclusion. Our approach enables farmers and rural enterprises to adapt to climate change, improve productivity, and build sustainable, income-generating livelihoods. Alongside our food systems work, AIS is a licensed solar EPC delivering off-grid, grid-tied, and hybrid solar solutions for communities, social institutions, and enterprises. We design, build, and maintain reliable energy systems that power health facilities, schools, water infrastructure, faith institutions, and MSMEs—ensuring energy access translates into better services, lower costs, and long-term impact. From project development and engineering to procurement, installation, commissioning, and operations & maintenance, we deliver bankable, built-to-last solutions tailored to local contexts. Across our work, we deliberately embed productive use of energy to turn clean power into a driver of economic opportunity, service delivery, and climate resilience. AIS is registered and regulated by Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) and National Construction Authority (NCA) in Kenya Our mission is to accelerate Africa’s transition to sustainable development by delivering practical, scalable solutions that make food systems more resilient and renewable energy work—every day—for the people and institutions that need them most. We believe that clean energy is a critical driver of local development in Africa.
