About us The Agatha Valentine Hope Foundation (AVHF) is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to safe, quality reproductive healthcare and advancing the wellbeing of women and underserved communities across Nigeria. AVHF was established in honour of the late Mrs. Agatha Valentine, whose untimely passing following complications from fibroid surgery underscores a critical gap in women’s healthcare systems—particularly in awareness, access, and surgical safety. Her story is the foundation of our purpose: to transform grief into impact, and to ensure that no woman is left without the care, information, and support she needs. What We Do Through a combination of direct intervention, advocacy, and partnerships, AVHF focuses on: - Reproductive Health Access Providing support for women with uterine fibroids through awareness campaigns, screening initiatives, and access to care. - Women’s Health Advocacy Driving education and public awareness on reproductive health, early diagnosis, and safe treatment options. - Community Outreach & Welfare Delivering social support programs, including community health outreaches, feeding initiatives, and relief support. - Systems Strengthening Collaborating with healthcare providers to promote improved standards in patient care, safety protocols, and referral systems. - Research & Policy Engagement Supporting research and engaging stakeholders to influence policies that improve women’s health outcomes. Our Vision A society where every woman, regardless of background, has access to safe reproductive healthcare, and every community thrives through compassion, dignity, and opportunity. Our Mission To promote equitable access to quality reproductive healthcare, education, and empowerment for women and underserved communities.
