Agience is the data layer that makes AI output trustworthy. Most AI systems produce unstructured, unverified outputs with no stable identity and no audit trail. Agience solves the foundational layer. Every piece of information gets a persistent identity, a traceable provenance chain, and a durable home that both humans and agents can search, curate, and build on. We build an open, self-hostable knowledge platform on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Messy inputs (documents, transcripts, live streams, webhook events) become typed, versioned artifacts with full source attribution. Humans review and approve in workspaces. Validated artifacts commit to collections that agents can query with confidence. Provenance travels with the data: who created it, what it was derived from, which human signed off. Engineering and compliance teams use Agience for auditable evidence chains. Research teams use it to ensure every claim traces to a source. Any organization deploying AI at scale and needing outputs they can actually stand behind. Open source (AGPL-3.0). Self-hostable. MCP-native. Agience connects to any compliant agent, tool, or data source without lock-in. Granular access controls, scoped tokens, and a full audit trail built into the platform. Free to use. Up and running on the hosted platform at my.agience.ai in two minutes with no credit card required. Self-hosted on your own infrastructure in five.
