We are building Figment, a virtual pet companion that lives alongside you in a calm, evolving environment, running on everyday mobile devices - interactive when you choose to engage - living it's life when you don't. Figment addresses social isolation and loneliness among older adults by restoring access to companionship in environments where real pets are not feasible. Chronic loneliness is strongly linked to increased depression, cognitive decline, and long-term health risks. By providing continuous, low-demand virtual companionship, we aim to improve emotional wellbeing and support assisted living communities with scalable, cost-effective tools that enhance resident wellbeing without increasing operational burden.
