In 1947, American Bank opened its doors as Livingston State Bank in the town of Livingston, Montana. We were then, and remain today a full-service, family-owned bank with a focus on providing the kinds of products and services customers in Montana need, from simple checking accounts to complex business lending, from personal bankers to advanced online services. That ability to understand customer needs has helped us grow to more than 75 people serving five communities across our state — Livingston, Big Timber, Bozeman, Big Sky and Whitefish.
