The Belgian Poison Centre (BPC) is a royal foundation of public utility whose main task is providing immediate medical advice by phone in case of exposure to poisonous or hazardous substances. This medical advice is provided by a team of doctors and pharmacists, who are available 24/24 and 7/7. The BPC is responsible for both Belgium and Luxembourg. Apart from its main task, the BPC provides following services to stakeholders in Belgium and Luxembourg: - Library of composition of dangerous mixtures and their notifications to ECHA/BPC - Toxicovigilance (biocides, phytosanitary products, dangerous mixtures,…) - Pharmacovigilance - Register of carbon monoxide intoxications - Supply of selected antidotes
