Awakening Recovery is a Los Angeles nonprofit providing long-term, abstinence-based recovery housing for men and women seeking lasting freedom from drug and alcohol addiction. Our year-plus residential model is designed for people who need more than short-term stabilization. Through structured living, peer mentorship, 12-Step practice, spiritual growth, and personal accountability, residents are supported in rebuilding identity, purpose, and community over time. Many who come to Awakening Recovery have little or no financial support and face housing instability, fractured relationships, and repeated histories of relapse or discouragement. We believe lasting recovery is more likely when people are given enough time, enough structure, and a strong recovery community in which a new way of life can take hold. Since 2016, Awakening Recovery has served hundreds of residents in Los Angeles with a model centered on dignity, accountability, hope, and lasting transformation.
