# Belgian Defense jobs and careers > 1,448 open roles at Belgian Defense as of October 29, 2026. Source: https://www.thejobsmap.com/company/belgian-defense Defence currently has a thousand soldiers deployed around the world on average, generally in coordination with other international partners. After all, we not only carry out peace-making and keeping operations or humanitarian efforts. Our soldiers are professional bridge-builders who intervene in conflicts, help out with disasters and restore calm. Defence takes action in unstable or unsafe countries. After all, the situation there will trickle through into our society as well. The quicker we can re-establish safety and prosperity over there, the better things will be for our country. Indeed, our own prosperity and high living standards are dependent upon a safe ‘open world’. To make sure these missions have a happy ending, we are recruiting for roles both in the field and in support. Working for Defence? It's not just a job – it's an extraordinary experience for people whose hearts are in the right place. ## Key facts | | | |---|---| | Open roles | 1,448 | | Posted in the last 7 days | 24 | | Cities hiring | 45 | | Headquarters | Leopoldsburg, Limburg, BE | | Founded | 1830 | | Employees | 1,001 to 5,000 | | Industries | National Security, Public Safety, Security | | Website | https://mil.be | ## Where they are hiring - Evere: 184 open roles - Zeebrugge: 96 open roles - Beauvechain: 91 open roles - Leopoldsburg: 91 open roles ## Newest open roles - [14NOV26 Job Day Commandos - Flawinne (13h00)](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/f5e92036-631c-495b-beb3-73de176ef355), Flawinne, Belgique - [14NOV26 Journée découverte Commandos - Flawinne (10h00)](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/ccf634af-73c5-4582-a165-ce4900e8d5c7), Flawinne, Belgique - [Medewerker Marine - Matroos reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/15bdc852-6dbb-4767-b6dd-b6adcbe65b25), Zeebrugge, België - [Fuselier Marine - Matroos reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/253f6b58-9fbc-4934-a0f1-312c7c207ac3), Zeebrugge, België - [Vliegveldbeveiliging - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/7333e77a-b686-4f3c-a4d7-201847098cd4), Beauvechain, België - [Vliegveldbeveiliging - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/8ed52e8c-0f64-473d-a452-dd33678e027b), Peer, België - [Force Protection Land - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/af76fcce-e7fa-4dd5-a67e-077769c7844d), Tielen, België - [Force Protection Land - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/79ebd0c8-a5e6-4759-9ed0-5edf32babe9d), Leopoldsburg, België - [Force Protection Land - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/9d59acfd-7669-494e-8ff1-6338d867a358), Heverlee, België - [Medewerker Marine - Matroos reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/445a61b5-9311-4541-8a36-bf8c29f77403), Zeebrugge, België - [Fuselier Marine - Matroos reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/26717381-0346-4d8f-a9f8-fcf9b88df3e2), Zeebrugge, België - [Vliegveldbeveiliging - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/06ee399c-9f45-41ca-afb9-27a91892a0df), Florennes, België - [Vliegveldbeveiliging - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/83c3c8c8-374c-4797-85bd-2c358af380e1), Beauvechain, België - [Force Protection Land - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/934c71f5-255a-4e35-961f-00f237cd0f56), Flawinne, België - [Force Protection Land - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/abfa8662-5657-46a5-a9de-41cbae08603b), Marche-en-Famenne, België - [Force Protection Land - Soldaat reservist - Militaire Dienstjaar](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/0d29719a-0208-4c5b-bed7-6197217f505f), Amay, België - [13FEB27 Jobdag Arts/Tandarts/Apotheker](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/9f6ab0e4-3f3c-4047-a7df-bb35e2ca391d), Nivelles, België - [13FEV27 Journée découverte des métiers d’infirmier(ère), de technologue de laboratoire et d’assistant(e) dentaire au sein du Service Médical](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/6cc1f301-b532-4eaa-b866-c58d99406003), Nivelles, Belgique - [13FEB27 Jobdag Verpleegkundige/Laborant/Tandartsassistent bij de Medische Dienst](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/455350dd-11bf-4e79-8186-3887741b3749), Nivelles, België - [13FEV27 Journée découverte Médecin / Dentiste / Pharmacien](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/04d13df1-ffd8-4d58-bcc6-799d69af45f8), Nivelles, Belgique - [13FEB27 Jobdag Ondersteunende functies Medische Dienst](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/9387148f-48b8-44d7-85ad-9f0b25759a11), Nivelles, België - [13FEV27 Journée découverte des fonctions de soutien du Service Médical](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/e3df3127-7ca7-404e-81fb-b4b7455fbcb5), Nivelles, Belgique - [Reboot4You - session 1 février 2027](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/7422e210-d930-48eb-8996-6eeb922a9e13), Nationaal/National, Belgique - [Reboot4You - sessie 1 februari 2027](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/c3cb849d-1f53-4c22-97a0-c650276441ea), Nationaal/National, België - [24MAR27 Jobdag Air Traffic Control – Kleine-Brogel (Peer)](https://www.thejobsmap.com/job/e8a8af93-b3bb-4eba-8893-2ee89f45fc88), Kleine-Brogel, België - All 1,448 roles: https://www.thejobsmap.com/company/belgian-defense#jobs ## Leadership - Frederik Vansina, Chief of Defence - Tom Bilo, Director Defence Centre for Leadership - Aline Godart, Chief Information Manager - Cabinet of the Chief of Defence - Governance Support - Luc GORIS, Chief of Defence Policy at the Strategic Department - Jan Abts, Director of the CHOD’s Private Office ## Common questions ### Is Belgian Defense hiring right now?
