Big Nose Kate® is a first-of-its-kind blend of straight American Rye Whiskey and American Single Malt crafted by award-winning Master Blender, Melissa (Mel) Heim. We launched BNK with a purpose: to make whiskey for the modern drinker - bold, inclusive, intentional, credible, accessible, and story-forward. What started as a rebellious idea has evolved into a growing business with real traction. Big Nose Kate is the main character in one of history’s greatest untold stories. Born in Hungary as Maria Magdolna Izabella Horony then later feared and revered across the west as the imitable Big Nose Kate, she was a legend in her own right who never got her due. History tried to erase her. Hollywood diminished her. Her adversaries smeared her. We bottled her. Whiskey isn’t just for and about the boys despite their overwhelming presence on the backbar and menus. So, say it with us: “I’ll have a Kate.”
