Biovaccines Nigeria Limited (BVNL), a Public- Private Partnership (PPP) between the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), and May & Baker Nigeria Plc (MBN), was incorporated in 2005 as the Special Purpose Vehicle to revive vaccines production activity in the country. BVNL is building on its parent company’s strengths of vertical integration with enriched experience and expertise in setting up state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities dedicated to developing and producing essential and novel vaccines and a proven track-record of supporting healthcare in Nigeria. BVNL is a modern, fully integrated technology driven organization, with strengths in Manufacturing, Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory and commercialization of essential and novel vaccines against infectious disease to address significant unmet medical needs, and to support health and quality of life in the African region and beyond. The objective of BVNL is to produce affordable, accessible and quality assured human vaccines for the region and reverse the situation of high mortality from Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD). BVNL aims to emerge as an institution to support in enhancing awareness and coverage of EPI vaccines in Nigeria, as well as serve as a platform to nurture and develop local technical talents to support the capacity building initiative. The BVNL team have experts in all the above outlined areas, thus making BVNL the partner of choice in vaccines in the African continent. We believe in collaboration to accelerate growth.
