Founded in 2024 and supported by funding from Southern Water, Herefordshire Council and the Norfolk Mitigation Fund, we secured a grant from Innovate UK to undertake a 2 year R & D project starting in January 2025 to develop engineered biochar-based technologies for nutrient capture across water and soil systems. Our work focuses on restoring catchment function by intercepting excess nutrients before they propagate downstream, supporting long-term ecosystem recovery rather than short-term mitigation. Having achieved some impressive absorption rates in preliminary laboratory work, our soil product began real world field trials on the September 2025 winter wheat crop and we expect to deploy our first water based product into real world trials in late spring 2026. We have patent applications in progress and a product development/IP roadmap that will create significant long term value for the business
