Firm Douglass Winthrop is a New York City based SEC registered investment advisor. As of December 31, 2025 the firm manages approximately $6.5 billion for individuals, families, trusts, and endowments. Douglass Winthrop is owned and managed by its principals. Strong balance sheets back all of our equity and corporate bond holdings. We invest relatively more capital behind our highest conviction ideas. Our approach aims to minimize the risk of capital loss while achieving superior results.
