About Hill Country HRMA – Your SHRM Chapter for Hill Country Texas HR Professionals The Hill Country Human Resource Management Association (Hill Country HRMA) is a SHRM-affiliated chapter supporting human resources professionals across Central and South-Central Texas. Based along the I-35 corridor, our chapter serves a growing network of HR leaders and practitioners in cities such as Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Seguin, Schertz, Cibolo, McQueeney, and Canyon Lake—as well as communities extending 3 hours east and west of I-35. Our broader reach includes towns and cities like: East of I-35: Lockhart, Luling, Gonzales, La Grange, Bastrop, Giddings, Smithville, Flatonia, Yoakum, Cuero, and even parts of Victoria. West of I-35: Wimberley, Driftwood, Dripping Springs, Blanco, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Boerne, Comfort, Bandera, and Marble Falls. Founded in 2008 by a small group of passionate HR professionals, Hill Country HRMA was created to foster connection and professional growth across our region. After early networking efforts attracted over 50 interested members, we officially chartered as SHRM Chapter #731 on January 8, 2009—becoming the 36th SHRM chapter in Texas. Our Mission To educate, connect, and serve the HR community throughout Central Texas by offering professional development, peer collaboration, and timely HR resources. We are committed to empowering HR professionals to grow their careers and drive positive change in the workplace.
