Health Information Management (HIM) is a department of Providence Health Care that delivers services to Provincial Health Services Authority, Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Providence Health Care. HIM is responsible for collecting, storing, and providing access to patient information within British Columbia. The HIM team consists of over 1,500 dedicated professionals who work closely with physicians, clinicians, and researchers to support the healthcare journey of patients in British Columbia. Our staff work at more than 40 sites across the province. Our expertise includes Registration, Records Management, Transcription and Health Information Exchange, and Coding and Informatics. Additional Corporate Services include Strategic Planning, Projects and Business Optimization, and Culture and Communications.
