HACCT is the charitable trust for the Huddersfield Caribbean Carnival, and Legacy Steel Pan. We are a non-profit, registered charity with the remit of planning, managing and fundraising for the carnival through the Carnival Management Committee (CMC) and organising related fundraising and educational events throughout the year. HACCT became a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) in February 2020 but has been a registered charity for over 10 years. The objectives of the CIO are to advance, promote, encourage and develop appreciation of and participation in African–Caribbean arts and culture including Carnival and street arts, their traditions, music and crafts in particular but not exclusively through the provision of arts workshops, activities and events throughout the year and by the promotion and organisation of an annual carnival in Huddersfield
