The International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) is an international volunteer organization focused on effective means of community engagement. IAP2 USA is a nationwide organization that leads, advances and advocates for best practices in public participation. IAP2 USA is an affiliate region of the international organization, which promotes and advances public participation and community engagement globally. Several affiliate regions offer various communities of practice to support and meet member needs. IAP2 USA’s membership is growing and becoming more diverse and there is a need to provide more networking and relationship building for young professionals across community engagement sectors and geographic regions. The USA Young Professionals are an informal group of IAP2 members who are looking to build community connections through establishing meaningful relationships with other young professionals. The mission of the USA Young Professional Group is to not just grow in our field but also to nurture and empower other young professionals like ourselves.
