Independent Alternatives Investment Managers (Pty) Ltd (“IA”) is a majority black owned, boutique investment management business focused on the management of investments on behalf of institutional and high net-worth individuals. IA was founded by experienced investment management professionals on the belief that they could do more for their clients. Our aim is to become the investment manager of choice, through our cost effective and client -centric solutions. We employ a quantitatively biased macro thematic investment strategy. Our competitive advantage lies in the strength of the portfolio management team and their insights into fixed income, equity, commodities and foreign currency product markets, as well as cross asset class linkages. With this knowledge they are able to effectively analyse the investment landscape and identify mispriced opportunities. IA is the Investment Manager of the Muhu Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund and the Muhu Active Bond Fund.
