The Insurance Fraud Investigators Group (IFIG) is a not‑for‑profit community of over 100 fraud fighting organisations, united by a shared mission to strengthen the industry through collaboration, intelligence sharing and skills development. Run entirely by a band of 15 dedicated volunteers, all juggling demanding day jobs, we’ve built one of the UK’s most trusted, supportive and inclusive networks for insurance fraud investigators. We’ve partnered with Verisk to deliver the sector’s first sector‑agnostic intelligence sharing database, giving members access to shared insight that enhances decision‑making and strengthens the fight against fraud across the market. IFIG proudly created the UK Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU), connecting UK practitioners into the global SIU community and raising investigative standards through international collaboration. We actively support and complement the work of existing counter fraud bodies, ensuring we add value rather than duplicate, and helping to strengthen the ecosystem as a whole. At our heart, IFIG brings fraud fighters together in a safe, nurturing and collaborative environment, hosting three major events each year, alongside the legendary IFIG Curry Night, an annual highlight across the sector.
