At InterEarth, we’re taking meaningful action to remove excess atmospheric CO2—starting now. Using photosynthesis, nature’s most powerful carbon-capturing technology, we’ve developed a safe, simple, measurable, scalable, and actionable solution today. Here’s how it works: ▪️Grow trees: We plant native woodland species that thrive in low-rainfall, marginal farmland areas. ▪️Harvest biomass: The trees are harvested for their above-ground biomass, which regrows naturally through coppicing. ▪️Store carbon: The harvested biomass, containing captured carbon, is securely stored underground. This approach not only tackles CO2 removal but also provides a sustainable use for underutilised farmland. InterEarth was born from a deep understanding of the challenges involved in direct atmospheric CO2 removal and the economic pressures facing marginal farmland in Australia. By combining high-yield native tree species with innovative subterranean carbon storage, we’re delivering a solution with gigatonne-scale potential to make a global impact 🌳 With hundreds of millions of hectares of suitable production sites already identified, we’re ready to turn this big idea into lasting change for the planet 🌏
