Jokipiin Pellava is a family company founded in 1920. Asser Laurila first started a sawmill in Jokipii village by Jalasjoki river. He was only 21 years old at the time. Most probably with his wife Kerttu’s influence the line of industry changed: in 1930’s wool spinning and 1940’s linen flax yarn spinning started. Linen fabric weaving started in the 1950’s and ready-made products in the next decade. Today our company is a linen weaving mill that employs 25 people. We manufacture textiles for sauna and bath, kitchen and table setting. Our focus is on manufacturing customized business and personnel gifts for companies and communities.
