The story of Movement51 (M51) begins with its sister company, The51: a Financial Feminist™ platform and venture capital firm where current and aspiring investors (particularly women* and gender-diverse* individuals), come together to democratize access to capital for women and gender-diverse founders. As The51’s primary focus became feminist venture capital opportunities, Movement51 was founded as a non-profit arm, built to power the full and equal economic participation of women and gender-diverse people in the areas of entrepreneurship, investing and all things financial education and confidence.
