myPastoralCarer - of the human spirit, is an evidence based alternative to religion, recognising belief systems that manifest the human spirit. Dean Hamer’s (2004) faith gene hypothesis proposes that human spirituality is influenced by heredity and the gene, vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2) predisposing humans towards spiritual experiences. The capacity to experience spirituality is quantifiable and heritable. The gene VMAT2 determines the capacity by altering monoamine levels. Over their lifetime, a person consciously and/or subconsciously, subscribes to a mashup of values, principles, morals, ethics, theologies and narratives, as systems of belief with or without affiliation to a particular religion or denomination. myPastoralCarer professional pastoral carers recognise these systems, then collaboratively works to formalise, or reconstruct your human spirit - manifested by your faith gene. With over 60 years of collective pastoral care experience myPastoralCarer provides professional pastoral care in-person and online, in education institutions, in sporting organisations, and in corporate business. PASTORAL CARE IN-PERSON AND ONLINE The myPastoralCarer professional pastoral care methodology encourages a positive collaboration, as we journey to manifest the human spirit - measured by the faith gene, VMAT2. By optimising the genetic capacity for human spirituality, the evolutionary advantage of an innate sense of optimism and hope is maximised for daily life, and a spiritual solution to a pressing concern using scientific methods is offered. PASTORAL CARE SCHOOLS/SPORT/CORPORATE Our professional pastoral carers embody and communicate the spirit of the school / community for measurable wellbeing outcomes that include, but are not limited to: - identity for a sense of belonging and cohesive collaboration - resilience derived from identity - cohesive collaboration, an unwavering determination to work together especially when faced with adversity.
