The Nature Positive Landscapes Initiative (NPLI) is empowering companies to view nature as a strategic asset, helping industries contribute materially and measurably to the global goal of reversing nature loss by 2030. While global policy sets the target, NPLI provides the operational roadmap. We act as a convening and enabling organisation bringing together industry, civil society, academia, Indigenous peoples and local communities, and government to define, clarify and test the transformational approaches industry requires to contribute to the global goal of Nature Positive. Through our demonstration projects—beginning with the mining sector—we are refining a landscape-scale model that turns ambitious policy into operational reality. Through our community of practice we are developing and testing the frameworks and tools necessary for industry to meaningfully contribute to Nature Positive outcomes in the landscapes in which they operate.
