Founded by international pop star Lisa Scott-Lee and West End performer Johnny Shentall, New Covent Garden was established in 2025 to enhance Dubai’s growing arts and culture scene. Inspired by London’s iconic Covent Garden, an internationally recognised hub for shopping, entertainment and theatre, New Covent Garden is set to become a landmark within Dubai’s vibrant cultural and tourism landscape. Putting the heart in the arts of Dubai, it offers an innovative and inclusive home for international and local shows, performers and events. A welcoming and dynamic space where creativity thrives, it is a place where artists find inspiration, families and friends gather to unwind, and theatregoers are captivated by new productions every month. Located in one of Dubai’s most renowned leisure destinations, Mall of the Emirates, New Covent Garden is positioned at the centre of the city’s cultural life. The 600-seat theatre presents a diverse programme, from musical theatre, comedy and children’s entertainment to Arabic productions, ballet, opera and live concerts. Ten purpose-built dance studios, including a Yoga and Pilates studio and a Black Box, provide the community with spaces to connect, stay active and explore the arts, while premium dining options create an all-encompassing day-to-night experience. Seasonal pop-up events throughout the year will further establish New Covent Garden as a focal point for residents and visitors of all ages to gather, share experiences and celebrate culture together.
