New Critique is an online journal of cultural criticism and creative writing. Since 2013 we have published essays, reviews, and creative writing by hundreds of emerging and established writers all over the world. Do you read, watch, listen, think, and write? We want to hear from you. Swipe for full submission guidelines. Essays Essays of no more than 5,000 words are encouraged on any aspect of literature, art, history, politics, theory, music, film and/or television. Journalistic, academic, and experimental approaches are welcomed. Reviews Book, performance, exhibition, and screen reviews of no more than 2,000 words. Creative writing We publish poetry, fiction, short stories, flash fiction, drama, short film, and anything in between. Creative submissions should not exceed 100 lines of poetry or 5,000 words of fiction or drama. Submissions should be sent to editors@newcritique.co.uk. Please allow 4–6 weeks for a response.
