At NEDEA, we are building a bridge between Germany and Africa to shape sustainability policies that are fair, practical, and future-focused. We bring together young leaders, researchers, and policymakers to co-design real solutions to climate challenges that matter; from just transition to sustainable enterprises. Our purpose is to ensure that inclusive policies and youth-led innovation become a cornerstone of climate diplomacy, green transition, and sustainable development. Thematic Areas and Programs: -Climate Policy and Diplomacy Fostering fair and inclusive international climate cooperation between Africa and Germany -Green Economy & Innovation Supporting climate-resilient economies and local green enterprises -Knowledge, Research & Advocacy Developing and sharing knowledge that informs climate action and amplifies youth perspectives. -Leadership & Capacity Building Empowering young people to become effective climate negotiators, innovators, and sustainability leaders Strategic Alignment Our work aligns with: • BMZ Africa Strategy (2023) – “Shaping the Future with Africa” • African Union Agenda 2063 – promoting inclusive growth and resilient development • EU–Africa Global Gateway and Green Transition frameworks • UN Sustainable Development Goals – notably SDGs 7, 8, 13, and 17
