Next Capital is an independent private equity firm, specialising in providing capital and expertise to the mid-market. The firm is sector agnostic and focussed on growth opportunities primarily in Australia and New Zealand. Our focus is on small to mid-market buyouts of businesses with an enterprise value of between $50 million and $200 million. The Partners see considerable investment opportunity in this segment of the market and it has been their core area of focus for over 20 years. Our flat management structure enables us to be nimble in our approach and be quick and flexible in our decision making. Established in 2005, Next Capital founding partners Sandy Lockhart, Patrick Elliott and John White are former principals of Macquarie Bank’s private equity arm, Macquarie Direct Investment.
