The National High School Sports Analytics Association (NHSSAA) provides high school students with the opportunity to present their own sports analytics research, meet peers with similar interests, and learn from professionals who are well known in the field of data and sports analytics. We were started by high school students and are led by high school students. We hold one large in-person conference every year (one weekend in March in Boston). Past conference speakers included: Michael Lewis, Daryl Morey, Jessica Gelman, Nate Silver, Shane Battier, and key decision-makers from teams such as the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and the New England Revolution. We also hold three virtual (Zoom) events every years. Past guests on the virtual events included senior executives from teams such as the Minnesota Twins, Arizona Diamondbacks, Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Guardians and also NBA executives, sports-technology companies, and YouTube content creators. Please join us for our events! If you are a current high school student with an interest in sports analytics, then please reach out to us. There are opportunities to join the organizing committee and present your own research!
