Nic Waals Institutt er en barne- og ungdomspsykiatrisk poliklinikk som gir et behandlingstilbud til barn og ungdom i alderen 0 - 18 år og gravide i Oslo kommune. Instituttets primære opptaksområde er bydelene Gamle Oslo, Grünerløkka og St. Hanshaugen. Vi har også et Akuttambulant Hjemmesykehus som i tillegg til å gi tilbud til barn og unge i Nic Waals ordinære opptaksområde også gir et tilbud til barn og unge i Diakonhjemmet sektor (bydelene Frogner, Ullern og Vestre Aker). Instituttet ble etablert i 1953 av psykiater Nic Waal og har siden det vært en pionérklinikk innen fagfeltet barne- og ungdomspsykiatri. Nic Waals Institutt ligger i Spångbergveien 25 i Oslo, og er en klinikk i Lovisenberg Diakonale Sykehus. Nic Waals Institutt ledes av klinikksjef Benedicte Skirbekk.
