Our mission is to provide educational opportunities for our members, be an advocate for our members and the patients they serve, and support and uphold the standards of the American College of Surgeons. We are dedicated to improving the care of the surgical patient and to safeguarding standards of care in an optimal and ethical practice environment. The North Carolina Chapter functions through the coordinated activity of its individual members, for the support and improvement of the practice of surgery in the state. With the help of an executive director, the Chapter relies completely on the energy and initiative of interested North Carolina surgeons. We welcome the participation of any interested individuals.
