The representative body for Pacific Island communities and organizations in South Australia. PICSA is a non-profit community incorporated association, managed by volunteer representatives of member community groups and individuals who believe in the collective voice for the benefit of all Pacific Islanders. From the many, diverse Pacific Island nation organizations and communities in South Australia, we come together as a collective to represent the voice and views of our people to local, state, the federal government, and wider community. As highlighted in PICSA’s slogan ‘Equip Empower Engage’ PICSA’s primary focus is community development. PICSA addresses this by providing a platform to facilitate the process of equipping and empowering the Pacific Islands diaspora in SA. This is illustrated through training initiatives in Mental Health, Governance training, Grant Acquisition, Cultural development, and a few other initiatives. PICSA is also heavily involved in the Pacific Labour Mobility program by partnering with Government agencies and NGO’s in providing support the Pacific Islands workers and employers in SA and WA.
