The 13th century palazzo, set in the heart of the medieval city of Mdina, was the home of Captain Olof Frederick Gollcher OBE (1889-1962). Olof was an artist, soldier, collector and philanthropist. The Gollchers were Swedish ship owners and traders, who came to Malta in 1848. Olof Gollcher bought the palazzo with his mother in 1927 and he made the house his home until he died in 1962. The Olof Gollcher Collection comprises artefacts originating from European and Mediterranean countries, between the 15th and 20th centuries, including furniture, arms, armour, jewellery, coins, paintings, fans, rugs, documents, manuscripts, silver and glass. Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (last entry). Change in opening hours for the museum during the Easter period: The museum will be closed on Good Friday (18th April) and Easter Sunday (20th April) and we will be open on Easter Monday (21st April).
