Palm Robotics was founded in 2019. The company was established in order to provide a solution for a pressing problem faced by date palm growers around the world. Urgently needed is a method of early detection of the deadly infestation of date palm trees by the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus). Palm Robotics’ advanced remote sensing technology has been developed and is field-proven, with pilot projects taking place at several locations across the Middle East. Palm Robotics is currently focused on meeting the specific challenges related to palm trees in general, and the red palm weevil in particular. In addition, advanced stages have been reached in the development of unique solutions regarding various other fruit trees. The company’s vision is to become the recognized source of cutting-edge solutions that protect the health and increase the survivability of a wide range of fruit trees and field crops – providing early stress detection through the use of precision agriculture, remote sensing, and drone technology for agriculture, including drones for crop monitoring.
