PEPULIH was founded on April 22, 2004 (Earth Day) in Jakarta by individuals who care deeply about the preservation of natural resources and the urban environment. Legally registered as Pemerhati Peduli Lingkungan Hidup (PEPULIH) in 2004 and renewed as Pepulih Nusa Utuh in 2025. Inspired by St. Francis of Assisi and guided by the principles of Pancasila, Pepulih believes that caring for the environment is both a moral responsibility and a divine mandate shared across faiths. For more than two decades, Pepulih has worked with schools, families, and communities to grow environmental awareness and promote healthier, safer, and more dignified urban living. We focus on practical, community-based actions that help align daily lifestyles with the needs of a sustainable urban ecosystem. Moving forward, Pepulih promotes Ecological Conversion through simple yet meaningful actions—sorting waste, planting trees, saving energy and water, and cultivating responsible daily habits.
