We are Quiet Company, a modern Quaker enterprise. As a value-led business, we are welcoming, pioneering, and responsible. We have operations at Friends House, in London, and Swarthmoor Hall, in Ulverston, Cumbria. Our service offer includes: - Meeting and event spaces, - Retail operations (restaurant, cafes, bookshop, guest accommodation, historic house), - Facilities management. The company was formed in 2007 and is the fully owned trading subsidiary of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers in Britain). Our mission is to raise income for their charity: Britain Yearly Meeting (BYM). Each year, we gift-aid any profits to BYM. Quakers work for a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world. As and ethical and sustainable business, we believe in the 3Ps (people – planet – profit): our activity should not impact negatively people or the planet. In our workplace, we value the well-being of staff and the staff community. We offer a generous pay and benefits package. As a Living Wage employer, we aim to be an ethical employer, with a 1:4 ratio between our highest and our lowest-paid staff.
