At Rolling Fields, Elder Centered Care is the basis of the Eden Alternative philosophy. We create an Elder-centered community by eliminating the hierarchy in our home. We reconstruct the way we live and work putting our Elders at the center of all our decisions. When we make this change, we "deinstitutionalize"our home and build a vibrant human habitat. We give our Elders opportunities to make choices in their daily routines. By introducing pets, children, plants and gardens into daily life, we give opportunities for Elders to give care.
