We believe that a family's sense of togetherness allows them to cope better during times of distress. We also believe that no family should have to deal with their child’s medical crisis alone and currently run two core programmes dedicated to provide support to families in Singapore and helping them access the medical care and resources they need. 1) Ronald McDonald House - Situated within the premises of National University Hospital (NUH), Ronald McDonald House provides a “home-away-from-home” for families, allowing them to stay close to their hospitalised child at no cost. Families can make use of the stay-in facility of the Ronald McDonald House which comes complete with four ensuite bedrooms, a dining area, laundry area and kitchenette. Easy to prepare meals, snacks, and canned beverages are also on the house and are provided to guests at no cost. 2) Ronald McDonald Family Room - Located mere steps away from the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit)/ High Dependency (PICU/HD) ward at NUH, and offers a place of rest and respite exclusively for families whose children are hospitalised in these wards. Parents can grab a bite, take a power nap, and even have a quick shower before they resume their daily course of caregiving. Ronald McDonald House Charities - Keeping families together when they need each other most, since 1974.
