The Koita Centre for Digital Diabetology (KCDD) has been set up by Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) in partnership with Koita Foundation. RSSDI is the largest association of physicians dedicated to the care of people with diabetes in Asia, with over 11,500 members across 23 states in India. Koita Foundation is a leading NGO focused on accelerating Digital Health adoption. KCDD promotes the use of digital technologies and tools to improve Diabetes care across, and facilitates research and innovation in diabetes. Key focus areas of KCDD include driving adoption of diabetes-specific Electronic Medical Records (EMR), interoperability of patient information, remote tracking of patients, and use of consumer health applications and devices. In addition, KCDD supports the creation of large-scale data for diabetes research & registries, which are important for research and public health initiatives. KCDD also partner with hospitals, universities and research organizations to promote research and development in diabetes care.
