Rural Action is a voluntary not for profit social purpose company with charitable status. We are borne out of a continued desire to make a positive contribution to the everyday lives of rural communities by supporting and helping community based organisations in any way we can. We were established to meet an identified need for a regional rural organisation with a focus on supporting grassroots communities through project and programme design, development and delivery. We believe passionately about engaging people to build a better future and to support living, working, sustainable and shared communities. We work with local and central government; funding bodies; community groups; social enterprises and voluntary sector organisations. We work on a regional basis across Northern Ireland and the border region and with organisations across Ireland & the UK. We receive funding from PEACEPLUS - a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body, International Fund for Ireland, local and central government contracts.
