Set along the backdrop of the Shawangunk Mountain Range, just 90 miles north of Manhattan, the SOS is one of the country's most grueling and beautiful adventure races. This extremely popular race (sells out in minutes) is an eight stage, point to point, Triathlon where after a 30 mile bike, you swim with your running gear, and run with your swimming gear through three breathtaking lakes and all together 19 miles of gorgeous trails. This unconventional format sets this triathlon as one of the most unique. Over the past 35 years, SOS Triathlon has garnered an international reputation for excellence in endurance race experience. Named among the 5 best Multi-Stage races by Triathlete Magazine, listed as one of the 20 best Triathlons by Men's Health Magazine, and featured in Modern Bride Magazine for one of two "Survivor line" marriages, the SOS has one of the longest running and strongest following in the world of Triathlons.
