For more than 120 years Salford Lads and Girls Club has supported young people and the wider community through youth work, culture and heritage programmes. Based in our iconic Grade II listed building in Salford, we are a landmark in Manchester’s music history. We welcome visitors from across the world who come to see the Smiths Room, explore our heritage archive and experience one of the most photographed buildings in the UK. We run year-round youth programmes, community activities, heritage tours, volunteering opportunities and events that celebrate Salford’s past and future. We are open to visitors every Wednesday and Saturday from 11am to 2pm. No booking needed. As a registered youth charity, we rely on donations, partnerships, venue hire and merchandise sales to keep our doors open. Every contribution helps us support young people and protect this important piece of Salford culture.
