Shafer Insurance Agency, Inc. is one of East Tennessee’s oldest and largest independent insurance agencies. Established in 1963 by Alex A. Shafer, Sr., Shafer Insurance Agency has experienced a continued steady growth throughout the years thanks to the leadership of the second generation, Alex “Bo” Shafer Jr., and now the third generation, Andy Shafer. Taking care of our customers’ insurance needs with professional and personal service is our top priority. The phrase, “Be Safer with Shafer®” was first used by our founder, Alex Shafer, and represents the feeling of security and comfort we want all of our customers to experience. Whether we are insuring your home and car, or your business and livelihood, we want you to rest assured knowing that your insurance needs are completely met. Our team of insurance professionals has years of experience taking care of customers, making sure that their needs are met and their questions are answered. As a Shafer Insurance Agency customer, you will have your own Account Manager, so when you call, you are talking to the same individual each time. Our agency prides itself on its long term relationships with our customers and the working relationships we have with the insurance carriers we represent. These relationships are what enable us to provide our customers with exceptional coverage and extremely competitive rates. Being an Independent Agent gives us the ability to place your insurance coverage with the insurance carrier that offers the competitive pricing and specific coverages you need.
