In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Sharjah Driving Institute was established in 1991 to be one of the first governmental academic training institutes in the Arab world in general and the Gulf region in particular. It has become a distinguished experience and a cultural landmark in the Emirate of Sharjah. Its establishment brought about a qualitative shift in the level of training and specialized qualification courses, transforming this activity into an integrated academic program combining theory and practice. This contributes to achieving safe driving, thereby reducing traffic accidents and preserving the nation’s youth, upon whom the country depends.
