The West African System of Accreditation (SOAC), was created by the regulation n ° 01/2005 / CM / UEMOA on the scheme of harmonization of the activities of accreditation, certification, standardization and metrology in UEMOA. This Regulation was revised in 2010 and replaced by Regulation No. 03/2 010 / CM / UEMOA of the same title. Article 20, paragraph 1, of the Regulation stipulates that "accreditation activities within the Union are the responsibility of SOAC, which ensures that they comply with the requirements of international bodies". Paragraph 2 of the same article stipulates that "each member state recognizes as equivalent to its own assessment system, the conformity assessment bodies of the other member states, as soon as they present sufficient guarantees, in particular when these organizations and their procedures are accredited by SOAC or have been assessed according to a procedure or system verified and approved by SOAC ”. Le Système Ouest-Africain d’Accréditation (SOAC), a été créé par le règlement n° 01/2005 / CM / UEMOA portant schéma d'harmonisation des activités d'accréditation, de certification, de normalisation et de métrologie dans l'UEMOA. Ce règlement a été révisé en 2010 et remplacé par le Règlement n° 03/2 010 / CM / UEMOA du même titre. L’article 20, alinéa 1, du Règlement stipule que « les activités d’accréditation au sein de l’Union relèvent du SOAC qui veille à leur mise en conformité avec les exigences des organismes internationaux ». L’alinéa 2 du même article stipule que « chaque Etat membre reconnaît comme équivalent à son propre dispositif d’évaluation, les organismes d’évaluation de la conformité des autres Etats membres, dès lors qu’ils présentent des garanties suffisantes, en particulier lorsque ces organismes et leurs procédures sont accrédités par le SOAC ou ont été évalués selon une procédure ou un système vérifié et approuvé par ce dernier »
