South African Youth Affairs (SAYA) is a national, youth-led and non-partisan organisation dedicated to advancing youth development and participation in South Africa. We exist to empower young people to actively contribute to national development, influence policy, and shape a more inclusive, sustainable future. Through leadership development, advocacy, and strategic partnerships, SAYA creates opportunities for youth to lead, innovate, and drive meaningful change within their communities and beyond. Our work focuses on addressing key challenges facing young people, including unemployment, inequality in access to education, mental health, gender-based violence, and broader social and economic barriers. By collaborating with government, civil society, the private sector, and community organisations, we work to deliver impactful and inclusive solutions. SAYA is committed to uniting youth voices, strengthening youth representation in decision-making spaces, and aligning young people with national priorities such as the National Development Plan and Youth Policy. Guided by our values of Responsibility, Inclusion, Service, and Empowerment, we are building a generation of active, capable, and visionary leaders. Together, we are shaping the future of South Africa.
