SSR Limited is a specialist manufacturer of High Performance Anchor Systems, supplying critical fixings for Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS), lighting columns, sign structures, and other safety-critical applications across road and rail infrastructure. Our in-house manufacturing facility in Aldershot enables us to provide precision-engineered solutions with a rapid distribution service. As a company, we are at the forefront of engineering innovation in infrastructure safety, offering a comprehensive range of internally threaded sockets, cast-in cradles, bonded anchors, and high-performance fixings designed to meet stringent safety and durability standards. Our SSR-100 and SSR-170 series anchors are widely used in bridge parapets, safety barriers, and structural applications, ensuring robust long-term performance. We also serve as the UK & Ireland agent for B+BTec, supplying a full range of construction fixings, diamond drilling equipment, and structural anchoring solutions. Through this partnership, we provide cutting-edge technology and technical support to engineers, contractors, and asset managers. Beyond manufacturing, SSR Limited is actively engaged in industry-wide discussions on safety, investment, and regulatory oversight, particularly around parapet anchorage integrity, bi-metallic corrosion risks, and the long-term performance of vehicle restraint systems. Our recent work highlights the challenges of maintaining and upgrading the UK’s road safety infrastructure, including the implications of reusing old, untested fixings, the impact of electric vehicles on containment systems, and the need for stronger governance in anchor approvals. At SSR Limited, we champion engineering integrity, advocate for data-driven safety standards, and call for proactive investment in infrastructure resilience to prevent future failures.
