Stichting Coast Busters ontwikkelt en ondersteunt initiatieven ter bestrijding van de Plastic Soep. Wij faciliteren projecten waaraan burgers, ondernemers en overheden kunnen deelnemen en zo bij kunnen dragen aan een vermindering van het afvalprobleem, met name (plastic) zwerfafval. Primair doen wij dit in de Duin- en Bollenstreek en Leiden & omstreken, maar wij werken ook samen met soortgelijke landelijke initiatieven. Stichting Coast Busters is initiatiefnemer en projectleider van de Limes Bubble Barrier, een initiatief ter realisatie van een bellenscherm in de monding van de Rijn bij Katwijk om plastic en ander afval af te vangen vóórdat het de zee instroomt.
