We’re an independent food bank based in Swindon currently feeding circa 10,000 people per year, one third of whom are children. We receive donations of food, toiletries and household items from members of the public as well as churches, schools, local companies, community groups and supermarkets. The goods go to our warehouse, where they are sorted and packed into food boxes for delivery to our 12 distribution centres across the town and beyond. We work with a large number of local organisations who can refer individuals and families in need, and along with the food and essentials, we aim to provide a friendly welcome and signposting to other local agencies for further help. We’re now looking to recruit new Trustees to join our Board at a pivotal moment for the organisation. As we prepare our new three-year strategy and respond to rising demand, your insight and leadership will help shape the future of food poverty relief across Swindon & North Wiltshire.
