Das Swiss Laos Hospital Project (SLHP) ist eine Schweizer Non-Profit-Organisation, die durch medizinische Weiterbildung, fachliche Beratung und finanzielle Beiträge das Gesundheitswesen in Laos verbessern will. Unsere Mitarbeitenden sind Ärzt:innen, Pflegende und weitere Fachpersonen, die regelmässig ehrenamtliche Einsätze in laotischen Spitälern leisten. Fachliche Schwerpunkte sind Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe, Neonatologie, Innere Medizin, Psychiatrie sowie Spitalmanagement. Unsere Arbeit erfolgt im Rahmen eines Memorandum of Understanding mit dem laotischen Gesundheitsministerium und orientiert sich an den Sustainable Development Goals der UNO. Das SLHP ist seit dem Jahr 2000 als Verein organisiert und wird ausschliesslich durch Spenden finanziert.
