The Emily Shane Foundation's mission is to empower underserved, disadvantaged middle schoolers who are at risk of academic failure, via our SEA (Successful Educational Achievement) Program. The SEA Program provides essential academic tutoring and mentorship to these children, aiming to provide them with the learning and skills necessary to succeed in school and in life. We aim to set them on a path to academic and future success. Our "Pass it Forward" motto encourages spreading kindness, just as Emily Rose Shane did before her untimely death. All SEA Program students are requested to perform one good deed per session to embrace this concept of giving back and to foster social consciousness. The 2023-2024 school year will mark our 12th year of operation. Our work truly makes a difference of the lives of those we serve across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
